Workplace readiness and execution: 32 participants and no rating below very good
Workplace Readiness and Execution was the largest single cohort in KCOM Academy's 2026 evaluation series. In August, 32 participants from a Sarawak port and logistics group took part, and all 32 rated the programme excellent or very good. Not one rating fell below very good.
The numbers
32 responses.
100% rated the programme excellent or very good (32 of 32). 78% rated it excellent (25 of 32).
Overall rating of 4.78 out of 5. Trainer rating of 4.97 out of 5, with 31 of 32 participants giving 5 out of 5.
Self-rated knowledge rose from 3.25 to 4.41, a gain of 1.16 points.
Before the programme, 13 of 32 participants (41%) rated their own knowledge as fair or poor. Afterwards, none did. Every participant rated their knowledge as very good or excellent.
What it covers
The programme focuses on the behaviours that make someone dependable at work: accountability and ownership, attention to detail, continuous improvement and staying calm and professional under pressure. It is taught through group activities, games and real workplace situations rather than lectures. Accountability and ownership was one of the topics participants singled out.
All parts of the programme were useful, but I particularly enjoyed the session on accountability and ownership as it was practical and relevant to the workplace.
Participant, port and logistics sector
The most useful part was the trainer's practical examples and interactive discussions. They made the concepts easier to understand and relate to in the workplace.

Sometimes we need to know that we are not alone, that others are going through the same problem.

Why this matters for employers
Readiness is easy to assume and hard to measure. Here, 41% of participants began by rating their own knowledge as fair or poor, which is a candid starting point from people willing to say so. A session that moves everyone to very good or excellent, in one room, with the same language afterwards, gives a team a shared standard. That is often worth more than the individual gain.
Participants also noticed the tone of the room. Many described the trainers as approachable, clear and respectful, and one wrote that the session had been powerful for people new to working life.
What participants asked for
The feedback was direct and constructive. Participants asked for more interactive activities, quiz style games, more real workplace examples and a stronger slide design to hold attention. Some suggested that the same programme should be offered to people in more senior positions.

About these figures: KCOM Academy participant evaluation forms from one session of Workplace Readiness and Execution in August 2026. Ratings use a five point scale from Poor (1) to Excellent (5). Knowledge ratings are self-assessed before and after the session. Quotes are lightly edited for spelling and are not attributed to individuals.
