In this course, participants will learn techniques on how to examine problems, perform failure analysis and provide solutions using diffident approaches. Practical tools and examples will be used in the course to allow the participants to understand the effectiveness of these techniques.

CRITEX or Critical Examination Technique is an approach to identify and describe a problem and then using a matrix approach to identify solutions to this problem. ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS (RCA) teaches participants how to identify the causes of failure and the potential weaknesses in processes and product before providing solutions to address the root causes.

Ishikawa and 8D are commonly used in the manufacturing industries to identify and report failures in products and processes. Each of these addresses different levels of problem-solving approaches in a business hierarchy. Many classroom exercises and templates will be provided for participants to practice what they have learned in each module.

At the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Understand effective & practical decision-making approaches
  • Understand the approaches to effective problem solving
  • Have the ability to analyse operational issues and make effective decisions
  • Have the ability to identify root causes with effective solutions and report them
